International Workshop on Residential Behaviour and Housing Dynamics in the Postcovid Society

RESUMEN La movilidad residencial urbana se ha intensificado en las últimas décadas, lo que ha implicado no solo un aumento cuantitativo de los movimientos residenciales sino también una diversificación cualitativa de los mismos. Estos cambios han significado la aparición de nuevas motivaciones, preferencias y trayectorias residenciales que, en un contexto de crisis sanitaria y económica (COVID-19) como el reciente, han complicado aún más las dinámicas y comportamientos residenciales ya presentes en el entramado metropolitano. Siendo esta complejidad la que ha potenciado y consolidando la movilidad y el comportamiento residencial como un tema de gran interés en la actualidad, el Laboratorio Movives (Movilidad, Vivienda y Espacio), en el marco del Proyecto de investigación Movilidad y Comportamiento Residencial en Andalucía (PY20_00571), organiza el “International Workshop on Residential Behaviour and Housing Dynamics in the Postcovid Society”. El evento pretende ser un punto de encuentro interdisciplinar de investigadores y expertos sobre estudios urbanos con el objetivo de compartir resultados de investigación originales que contribuyan al debate sobre el impacto de la pandemia de la COVID-19 en la movilidad residencial y los mercados de vivienda. ÁREAS TEMÁTICAS • Movilidad, migraciones interiores y comportamiento residencial. • Movilidad y comportamiento cotidiano. • Segregación residencial. • Dinámicas del mercado de vivienda. • Análisis de discursos sociales sobre la vivienda, la movilidad y el territorio. ENVÍO DE ABSTRACTS Las ponencias deberán ser escritas y presentadas en inglés y el registro será totalmente gratuito. Si las ponencias recibidas alcanzan la calidad esperada, se plantea la publicación de las contribuciones en un libro o número monográfico de una revista científica. Para participar envía un email a moviveslab@gmail.com adjuntando un documento con la siguiente información: • Título de la comunicación a presentar. • Nombre de los autores, afiliación institucional e información de contacto. • Resumen de hasta 250 palabras. FECHA LÍMITE La fecha límite para el envío de resúmenes es el 1 de abril de 2022. Se comunicará la programación de manera más precisa cuando se concrete el número final de participantes. Las actualizaciones se notificarán por mail directamente a los participantes. LUGAR DE ENCUENTRO El workshop tendrá lugar en la ciudad de Granada, en El Carmen de la Victoria, un entorno único, monumental y ajardinado, típico del barrio del Albaicín, situado en la colina y con espectaculares vistas a la Alhambra.

OVERVIEW Urban residential mobility has intensified in recent decades, implying not only a quantitative increase in residential movements but also a qualitative diversification of these movements. These changes have meant the emergence of new motivations, preferences and residential trajectories. The context of health and economic crisis due to COVID-19, has added a new layer of complexity which should be addressed by researchers on the topic. It is this complexity that has boosted and consolidated mobility and residential behaviour as a topic of great interest today. The MoVivEs Laboratory (Mobility, Housing and Lived-in Space), within the framework of the research project Mobility and Residential Behaviour in Andalusia (PY20_00571) invites you to participate in the “International Workshop on Residential Behaviour and Housing Dynamics in the Postcovid Society”. The event aims to be an interdisciplinary meeting point for researchers and experts on urban studies with the objective of sharing original research results that contribute to the debate on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on residential mobility and housing markets. SUGGESTED TOPICS • Mobility, internal migration and residential behaviour. • Commuting and everyday behaviour. • Residential segregation. • Studies on the dynamics of the housing market. • Analysis of social discourses on housing, mobility and territory. SUBMISSION DETAILS Abstracts must be written in English, as the whole conference will be held in said language. Registration is free of charge. The organization of the meeting plans to arrange the publication of a book or monographic issue of a scientific journal on the topic of the meeting, if the authors agree and the contributions have the required quality. To participate, send an email to moviveslab@gmail.com attaching a document with the following information: • Title of the paper to be presented. • Name of the authors, institutional affiliation and contact information. • Abstract of up to 250 words. The workshop will be structured based on oral presentations of 10-15 minutes. A written version of the paper will be required only in case the authors want to participate in the publication, after the meeting has ended. DEADLINE The deadline for abstract submission is 1ST April 2022. A decision upon the proposals will be sent by the 8th of April, in order to allow participants to arrange their agendas. The activities’ schedule will be communicated when the list of participants is closed. Updates will be notified by email directly to participants. LOCATION The workshop will take place in the city of Granada, in El Carmen de la Victoria, an unique, monumental and landscaped setting, typical of the Albaicín neighbourhood, located on a hill with fantastic views of the Alhambra.
