XXXIII Congreso Internacional de la Sociedad Española de PSicología Comparada

Desde sus inicios, el principal objetivo de la SEPC es la promoción y el desarrollo del estudio experimental del aprendizaje animal y humano. El instrumento más importante con el que cuenta la Sociedad para alcanzar este objetivo es la celebración de su congreso anual. Cada año, la reunión es organizada por una Universidad española diferente. También se incluyen estudios sobre las relaciones entre el aprendizaje, la atención, la memoria, la motivación y la cognición comparada, así como los procesos psicobiológicos subyacentes en sujetos humanos o animales. Los trabajos de la reunión pueden presentarse como ponencias libres, pósters y discursos invitados. La organización dedica tiempo a comentarios, debates y preguntas sobre los resultados de la investigación. Las ponencias invitadas corren a cargo de reconocidos profesionales de todo el mundo. Esta forma de organización facilita el intercambio de información y opiniones sobre las investigaciones y actividades de distintos laboratorios y universidades. También hace posible la coordinación de la investigación y el conocimiento de los trabajos realizados en universidades extranjeras.

From its beginnings, the main aim of the SEPC is the promotion and development of the experimental study of animal and human learning. The most important instrument that the Society has to reach this aim is the celebration of its annual congress. Each year, the meeting is organized by a different Spanish University. Typical papers at the meetings refer to experimental research on basic processes of learning, especially on classical and instrumental conditioning. Studies of the relationships between learning, attention, memory, motivation and comparative cognition, and the underlaying psychobiological processes in either human or animal subjects are also included. Papers at the meeting can be presented as free talks, posters, and invited addresses. The organization arranges time for comments, discussion, and questions about the results of the research. Invited addresses are given by well-known professionals from all over the world. This form of organization facilitates the exchange of information and opinions relating the research and activities of different laboratories and universities. It also makes possible the coordination of research, and the knowledge of the work conducted in foreign universities.
