Tourist Information

For many centuries a melting pot of cultures and civilizations, in particular a symbol of Muslim, Jewish and Christian co-existence and harmony during the Middle Ages, Granada today is a lively, modern city characterised not only by its unique historical, architectural and natural heritage but also by the calibre of its educational and research institutions, among them the University of Granada and five centres of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). These features ensure that Granada has a rich and vigorous cultural life. It is also a growing centre of corporate activities, particularly those related to new technologies and health care. All of this is offered to the visitor with the warm welcome and hospitality that is second nature to the people of Andalucía.
